It's Friday, so it's time to link up with the awesome hostesses above again! Check out their blogs here, here, here, and here (in order of appearance above)!
1. First up this week and reoccurring star of this blog...my baby brother. This Wednesday he started college. Yes, I said college. I'm going to post about it in more detail next week, but for now I just want to share how incredibly proud I am of him! I'm also in awe of how amazing and lucky we are to live in Louisville, where the Down's Syndrome Association is one of the most progressive and innovative programs in the country. The college program he is in is affiliated through them. Go, Bubbaloo, go! Don't skip as much class as your big sister did.
2. OCD inspired purchases. It's no secret that I absolutely love to organize things. I mean, it's almost scary how I will devote an entire weekend night to organizing a closet and be perfectly happy about it. Y'all, I'm not even joking, I have a problem. But I digress. So when I was in Florida this past week, I bought a new makeup case at the Kate Spade outlet (seen above). It doesn't replace my old one, but this one has more compartments so I can keep all my toiletries and jewelry organized while traveling. Yes, I do realize how insane this sounds. Just go with it.
3. Cheese pizza. Seriously, I could live on cheese pizza and chicken fingers alone. Two of my friends in particular make fun of me pretty regularly about dining like a five year old. Whatever, I like what I like. So tonight when I have dinner with my BFF, her hubby, and the roomie, I will be dining on cheese pizza at a place I haven't tried yet called Coal's. I hear it's yummy, so I'll let you know.
4. Peyton Manning. My obsession for this guy began many years ago when I drafted him as my first pick the first year I played fantasy football. It didn't hurt that I have a lot of friends that are Colt's fans, either. It's almost weird how cute I think he is (primarily because he's really not), but I think it's his funny demeanor in commercials that I adore. Plus, the 30+ fantasy points every week didn't hurt either. Anyway, I'm still a Colts fan, but I'll cheer for him as a Bronco. Especially after that game last night! Man, he's got an arm. Moving on...
5. Friends getting married. This past weekend, one of my very best friends got engaged to her awesomely fun and crafty boyfriend. I am super excited and honored that she asked me to be her maid of honor and can't wait to help her plan her big day! Congrats, Kate!!!
So those are my five for the week! Hope everyone has a big (or small, whichever you prefer) weekend planned! Happy Friday!
{Side note: almost all the images above are pulled from Google images. I think the Peyton Manning one was from Associated Press or something. Either way, they aren't mine. Don't sue me or whatever.}
