7am- Wake up after a night filled with weird dreams about strange wedding problems. Like, you've lost your future stepson in the yard, but it's not a big deal because he's really hanging out with an octopus inside kind of weird...
7:30 am- Actually drag your tired and weary old bones out of bed after coming to grips with the fact that no, you are not going to be able fall back asleep. Go make coffee and forget to brush your teeth and shower.
8:30 am- Hey, the contractors that are replacing your driveway are here and you're on the patio with your coffee in your pj's! Oh, and what's that? Just a truckload of concrete driven by one of your very own employees, who is also now seeing you in your pj's. Boss game on point.
9:00 am- Put down your coffee, only a few gulps missing, somewhere that you won't remember until it's 11 o'clock and you're wondering why you're dragging ass.
9:40 am- Put on your shirt (inside our only, please!) and something resembling pants and leave to go run 84,000 errands.
10:00 am - 2:00 pm- Answer alllll the phone calls from vendors, parents, and fiancé while running said errands. Inevitably forget at least one item from each store.
2:30 pm- Arrive at venue (let's say, your dad's house) to answer a few questions from the tent company and drop off items from errands. Notice one of the tent guys sliding down said tent.
(I didn't make that up. And yes, that's a huge tent. You can't even see all of it in this picture.)
4:00 pm- Go back to Michael's for the fourth time in 3 days. Just hand them all your debit and credit cards. It's just easier that way. Trust me.
5:00 pm- Realize that you haven't eaten anything today and are starving. Ignore it and stop by Starbucks for a latte instead.
6:00 pm- Remember that you have a family and a dog that love and miss you. Go home, help make dinner with said fiancé. Hopefully remember to feed the dog. At the very least, your future stepson. He'll probably tell you when he's hungry.
7:00 pm- Get dinner cleaned up while fiancé and future stepson get showers and ready for books.
8:00 pm- Books and bedtime routine. Still always the best part of any day. Reading to him always dulls down any stress from the day.
9:00 pm- Collapse on the couch after a load of laundry, minimal house cleaning, and a change from clothes to pj's. Make sure they're nice ones. Remember, your employees will see them too!
9:30 pm- Fall asleep on the couch curled up with the person that makes it all worth it. Because he is worth it, and so is the life you're starting together.
