2016, The Year of Unwritten Posts

I'm still alive, just still super busy! But in a spare minute of downtime last night, I was going through the pictures on my phone and realizing just how incredibly fast this year is flying by and how much we've managed to pack in!
I never got around to posting all of our fun adventures, so I thought a good old fashioned photo dump would be a great way to get it all down and documented. Mostly so I can go back and reminisce on the early days of our life together. I am nothing if not sentimental!!!
So here we go, hold on to your pants, this might take awhile!

The REAL Honeymoon Pictures

Now that I've finally uploaded most of the photos of our honeymoon, I realized I didn't take as many as I thought. And I remembered why. I spent 90% of the time we were stopping for photos just staring at the scenery in awe of what we were witnessing.

There aren't enough words to properly illustrate the magnitude and grandeur of the beauty of these two National Parks. It really is something you have to see in person yourself. And lucky for us American's, it's relatively accessible. Drew and I kept saying how nice the trails were and how easily navigable they were for even those that aren't as mobile as we are.

So here are the real pics, don't judge my photography skills. I love doing it, but an expert I am not!

Pints Urban Taproom in Portland

So if I remember Drew's field notes correctly, this is a female Osprey guarding her nest. FYI, this is about 50 feet up in the air. Thanks zoom lens!

Some sorta native grass or bamboo...

Uhh, it's a bird. These were all from Sauvie Island Nature Preserves in Portland.

Our neighborhood hummingbird catching some breakfast. We stayed on an organic farm on Sauvie Island while in Portland in a tiny house! It was super cute and perfect for a couple of honeymooners.

Somewhere in Olympic National Park. The trees in the Ancient Growth Forests are so massive.

The Paradise Region of Rainier.

I think this is from one of pit stops on the way from Olympic to Rainier. Super scary drive up to the lookout point, but totally worth it for the views.

I'm not sure what I did wrong and why half of these damn shots are blurry. But the last one pretty much sums it up.
