Playing a bit of catch up...

It's been a banner month here in the Bluegrass State, y'all.  I have been so busy doing super fun stuff that all the weeks are running together and I'm forgetting which way is up.  Luckily, I'm extremely OCD and have everything documented on my calendar, so I can refer back to figure it out. Ya know, because the world might fall apart if I don't have everything super well documented.  It's a fact.  Seriously. I promise.

Anyway, starting in the beginning of September, I hit the ground running and have no plans of stopping until mid November.  Here's a recap!

Natalie and me at the Black Keys concert in early September.  Awesome show, complemented by the fact that an awesome coworker gave me the tickets she won on the radio for free!  Woohoo!

Yay, crappy iPhone pics!

Live music at Crave Fest in Lexington.  CraveFest is a local food, booze, and music festival in Lexington featuring local chefs, restaurants, breweries, and bands.  The boyfriend and I headed up there on a Sunday in mid September and had ourselves a pretty nice little afternoon.  Didn't have time for Home Depot, though. (Ha, I'm so clever.)

Kate on our way out to her wedding!!!

The biggest event of the month of September was the nuptials of one of my very best friends, Kate. and her man and partner in defeating voodoo, Adam.  The whole weekend went by in a blur, and we had an absolutely perfect time.  It couldn't have been any better.

Equus Run Vineyards

The wedding and reception venue was gorgeous and the weather was perfect.

Such a pretty place for a wedding

The stunning bride and me!

Pretty bridesmaids.  I love this lady, she's awesome!!!

My favorite ginger, Jeremey, came in from Kansas City for the wedding!!!

It was so much fun spending a weekend with some of my most favorite people in the world, and celebrating Kate and Adam's big day.  I can't tell you guys enough how much I love my friends and how lucky I am to have them in my world.

The next week, I hit up a few shows in Louisville.  Wednesday the 24th, I met a Lexington buddy for the Real Estate show at Z-bar.  It was pretty flipping awesome.  They are such a great band, and the performance was flawless.

Accidental matching outfits for The Head and the Heart concert.  Seriously, this was not planned or realized until way after the fact.  What can I say, we're super cool...

The next night, the boyfriend and I met up with my BFF, Beth, and her hubby for another show, this time at Iroquois Park Amphitheater.

Iroquois is by far my favorite outdoor venue, and the band was PHENOMENAL. I've been listening to them on repeat more than usual since then.

Lazy lake weekend. Sorry for the gross cigarette in the pic...

The last weekend of September my Lexington girls with families and me headed to Taylorsville Lake for a quick weekend get away.  We spent the entire weekend relaxing, listening to the Cats beat Vandy, having some drinks, and eating way too much Rotel dip.

It was so great to spend time with my ladies that I don't see as much as I would like. Don't get me wrong, I am still very happy with my decision to move to Louisville, but there's something to be said for having your people right down the street.

Keeneland Tailgating on the Hill

This past weekend, the boyfriend and I had a ton of plans and succeeded in having pretty much the best weekend possible! Friday we headed out to my happy place, Keeneland race track.  The weather was cold, windy and rainy but it didn't stop us from having a great time.  Or from me winning over $200!!!!  I cannot believe I won that much money from two small, simple bets!  It was crazy!

More Keeneland

UK vs SC, we won!!!!!!

Saturday was spent cooking chili and snacks, spending an hour looking for a car charger plug for a crock pot, and drinking beer in the Commonwealth Stadium parking lot.  Oh yeah, did I mention that UK came back from a huge deficit and knocked off South Carolina 45-38?  Yeah, we were pretty hyped.  There was definitely some dancing in those stands!

And then there was this... A random ice storm yesterday.  It only hit my neighborhood.  So bizarre, but that's Kentucky weather for you.

So pretty much, it's been a great fall so far.  There's so much to do, and so much more to come!  I promise I'll post a fall decor update when get around to putting out decorations.

Until then, happy Tuesday, y'all!!!
