Months 8 and Nine!

Month 8 Stats: 18 pounds 3 oz Still short :) You are into aaaaallllll the things these days, moving around and trying to get that chubby belly off the floor to really get crawling. Sleep is not great these days, but you're still a fantastic eater! Even though you hate to nap or sleep for long stints, you are the sweetest, happiest little guy I know! We started out the month strong with lots of fall pictures and costumes! Not to mention a few trips to Keeneland and another trip to the beach! This time to Naples with Grandma, Uncle Will, Popi and Ger-Ger, and mom and dad! You were quite enamored with the sand, but did not care for sticking your toes in the ocean.  Other momentous events:  Crawling for real by the end of the month! All the time, everywhere, and QUICKLY! You got called a pretty girl by an old lady at Keeneland. Twice. Maybe I need to chill with all the smocking and bubbles. NAH! First family Halloween was a hit with our circus theme! Everyone loved your wagon, and I finally got some validation for the ridiculous amount of time I spent on putting it together. You aren't a fan of eggs. Which I'm guessing isn't a bad thing, because I later found out that babies aren't supposed to have egg whites yet. Oops.

Month Nine:

I don't know, I'm terrible at this. You weigh a lot when you're in your car seat? And you're still short!

Here's what I do know, kiddo. You are one heck of a hoot and spend most of the day giggling, squealing, and generally loving life. Everyday is more and more fun because we get to see more of your fantastic little personality come out. You truly are the happiest baby I know.

This past month you started doing so many things that I can hardly count them all! Standing on your own, even if for a few seconds, is such a riot to watch! You get so excited that you clap your hands and then fall down on your chubby little tushy! Did I mention that you were clapping? That's been really cute to watch. You are just so dang happy!

Bug, you make every day more and more exciting, even if you hate to sleep. I still don't see how you have such a sunny disposition while only napping for an hour at a time (at most) and waking up a few times a night still. Must be all that finger food and bottles keeping you satisfied! Either way, you will always be the best thing I've ever done. Love you.
